Girls' Hockey

The girls’ major game, hockey, is played in the autumn term. We play block fixtures on Saturdays against other South West independent schools. We also compete in the national cup competition in the U13, U14 and U16.

The college currently fields an U12 (7 a-side), U13 (7 a-side), U14 XI, U15 XI. We train mid-week in games slots and after school, on either our school training Astroturf, or on our full size pitch which is jointly owned in partnership with the University of St Mark and St John.

We have a Director of Hockey Coaching who has worked with numerous junior teams, domestic and internationally in the Netherlands. He coordinates with the team of coaches’ training programmes for each of the squads.

The squads have seen considerable success with numerous players representing Devon, Cornwall, the South West and the West of England in the U15 age groups and also attending England trials’ U15 age group
