Archery

New for 2014, at Plymouth College, is the Olympic sport of Archery.

Modern target archers are able to shoot arrows to within millimetres of each other at distances of up to 90m.

This requires superb concentration, balance and strength. A small club has been started at the school, as a summer term activity. We have bows that are suitable for Years 8 and 9.

Our novice junior archers have so far been taught how to set up bows and shoot safely. Their shooting skills are developing quickly and it is hoped they will be at competitive level next year.
