School of Rock

Also known as ‘Rock School’ but open to all genres of music, this club is run on a Tuesday after school.

We have a rehearsal room with lots of equipment: a PA system, guitars and amps, a keyboard and drums.

The club is open to all years and abilities, although sessions are more about performing; pupils learning parts at home and coming ready to bring it all together at Rock School. We play many concerts through the year: at lunchtime in the drama studio; in assemblies; at the guitar evening in the MK hall and as part of the house music afternoon.

Recent songs performed have included ‘Fire’ by Kasabien; ‘Day Tripper’ by the Beatles; ‘Use Somebody’ by the Kings of Leon; ‘You Really Got Me’ by The Kinks; ‘Teenage Dirtbag’ by Wheetus and ‘All These Things That I’ve Done’ by The Killers. This year’s band have been incredible and they keep getting better. Rock on!
