Social SceneThe Plymouth College Sixth Form has a busy social scene, run in large part by the students themselves. The year kicks off with the Freshers' Ball, a Black Tie party in September where the Upper Sixth welcome the Lower Sixth into the Sixth Form, and then dance the night away. Next up is the Halloween Ball timed for after the AS mock exams to allow everyone to relax, recover, unwind and dress up. November sees the famous Sixth Form Quiz as teams battle their wits against rounds of sport, general knowledge, popular culture and pictures, fighting to get their names engraved on the coveted Quiz Shield prominently on display in the Sixth Form Centre.
From here on we have a mix of DVD & Pizza nights in the Sixth Form Centre, along with other special events organised by the Sixth Form Committee. The grand finale is the Sixth Form Ball, an evening of Ball Gowns and most impressive attire at the magnificent Orangery at Mt Edgcumbe - a spectacular setting for a wonderful night. Life is busy in the Sixth Form, and we work hard to get the social balance right.
