Sport Baccalaureate Results
Plymouth College students who have completed the Sports Baccalaureate have gone on to study at many prestigious universities including those in the Russell Group. Amongst our recent leavers, Harry Preston graduated in 2015 having achieved the highest possible grade of Distinction star/Distinction star/Distinction star (D*D*D*). Harry, a top athlete, won a bronze medal for Great Britain in 2015 at the European Triathlon Championships in Geneva. He is at Exeter University reading Exercise and Sports Science. Keiryn Cooper graduated in 2016 having achieved D*DD and is completing the first year of his university course at the University of St Mark and St John studying Sports Coaching. Keiryn is a keen cricketer and rugby player. Rebecca Gribble, an elite swimmer, graduated from Plymouth College in 2017 with the highest award of D*D*D*. She is now studying Physical Activity and Health at Bath University. Callum Dewson, a county rugby player for Cornwall who also graduated in 2017, is in his first year of study for Policing at De Montfort University.
The overall pass rate of the Sports Baccalaureate course has consistently been 100%, with 50% or more achieving DDM or higher. Our 2017 results were 100% pass, with 80% achieving DDD or higher.
