Two tournament wins for U9 rugby

Plymouth College Preparatory School’s U9 rugby team have won two tournaments in as many weeks.

First up was the school’s own event.  The Plymouth College Prep A team won every game without conceding a try.   Also taking part were Blundell’s, Mount Kelly and Stover.

A week later the Plymouth College Prep team took part in the Mount Kelly tournament and finished joint winners with St Peter’s. They again went through the competition unbeaten, securing a very close 5-5 draw with St Peter’s.

The very strong A team was superbly captained by Jake Smith. Stand out performances by Jake, Hugo Campbell and Charlie Watson, and numerous tries from Angus Harris, were all complemented by excellent overall team play both in defence and attack.
