Plymouth College student, Rosey Tippetts, has finished in the top 25 in a global languages competition. The Year 10 student scored 20,905 points and came 24th in the Vocab Express Global Challenge for French.
Thousands of students from schools around the world logged on to the online learning application to test their vocabulary knowledge. Points went towards individual scoreboard and school league table positions. Plymouth College came 8th overall in the Challenge Cup Medio – French.
“This is the second year Plymouth College has taken part in this competition and I am delighted with the results,” said Head of French Philip Randall. “The competition is a great way for students to improve their vocabulary and language skills. They are motivated to do the best they can as they see themselves move up the leader board. Competitions like this complement the curriculum and help to prepare our students for living and working in a global society.”
