Essa Cross Country

Pupils from year 7-10 took part in the ESAA Cross Country Cup at Newquay. Teams of 6 runners competed as a team with the top 4 times counting in a bid to be one of the top 3 schools in Devon and Cornwall to progress to the regional finals. 24 athletes completed the grueling course with steep climbs and fast descents at Newquay Sports Centre. The Boys Intermediate came joint 1st to progress to the next stage. Ollie Smart was 3rd overall with Sam Mills-Shute, Sam Malcolm, Thomas Gilmour, Arran Graham and Chris Harris making up the winning team. All the other Plymouth College teams were just outside of the top 3 in each of their races, but with some great results and gritty performances. Well done to all!
