Leweston School, Sherborne, hosted The South West Spring Triathlon at the weekend. The small squad of Plymouth College competitors showed vast and encouraging improvement in the swimming pool and combined laser run event. Martha Miles, achieving a personal best in shooting and running, claimed U13 girls gold medal and South West Champion title. Annabel Denton excelled with a nearly 25-second improvement in the laser and run event to take the gold medal in the girl's U15 category. The same event saw Emily Pascoe pushed herself in all disciplines to achieve outstanding results – a five-second improvement in swimming and nearly an astonishing 40 seconds in the laser and run discipline. Lauren Singleton came away with the bronze medal in the girl's U17 event with a promising performance before next weekends Pentathlon GB ranking competition, where together, Lauren and Georgina Mitchell will be competing for the possibility of selection for the European Championships.
