Plymouth College had two teams progress to the compete in the South West round of the Cross Country Cup. The Junior and Intermediate girls’ teams travelled to Downside School in Somerset to compete against other South West teams. Both teams just missed out on qualifying for the National Team Championships but put in some strong performances. The Juniors had fair conditions for their race, with Molly Shorey coming home in 2nd place and Piper Haffenden 13th. The heavens opened for the Intermediate girls’ race and all runners showed real grit around a technical course of fields and trails in driving rain, with Megan Shorey having the strongest run to come home 14th.
