Swim England Winter Nationals

Day 1 finals of the Swim England Winter Nationals was a great night of medals and Personal Bests for the athletes.

Gold Medals: Laura Stephens 200m Butterfly, Sophie Freeman Junior 200m Butterfly

Silver Medals: Lana Broekhoven Junior 100m Breaststroke, Honey Osrin Junior 200m Individual Medley, Men’s 200m Individual Medley Relay team

Bronze Medals: Sophie Freeman 100m Freestyle, Women’s 200m Individual Medley Relay team

On day 2 of the Swim England Winter Nationals, swimmers produced 5 individual and 2 relay medals.

First to claim the Junior English title swimming out of the A final in the 200m Backstroke was Honey Osrin winning bronze, then Sophie Freeman claiming gold in the 100m Butterfly B final with a new pb and club record. Laura Stephens won Open Age Silver in the 100m Butterfly.

Then the three PL Ladies in the 100m Individual Medley B final had a shot at the gold medal, and it was Lana Broekhoven who emerged victorious claiming the Junior English title as well as a Dutch record and club record.

The night ended with the Men’s and Woman’s 4x50m Freestyle Relays, both PL teams winning bronze medals.

Final medal count: 7 golds, 8 silvers, 7 bronzes, 71 pb’s, 36 finals and 35 club records! What an end the season! Congratulations to all the athletes and coaches on their hard work and commitment.
