The Year 5 and 6 Spoken Poetry Competition

The Year 5 and 6 Spoken Poetry Competition took place on Thursday evening. The pupils performed a wide variety of poems, including works by Wilfred Owen, Michael Rosen and Spike Milligan to name but a few and some pupils even performed poems written by themselves! All the poems were performed with great confidence, the audience enjoyed the light-hearted comedic poems and also were impressed by the pupil’s maturity when speaking about more serious topics. Voted for by friends and family, the Year 5 winner was Freddy and Year 6 winners were Jemima and Eden.
