Alasdair takes to the stage with Tommy Steele - 10/12/09

Plymouth College Preparatory School pupil, Alasdair Lambie, 7,
is starring alongside musical and screen legend, Tommy Steele, in a
production of 'Scrooge' at Plymouth's Theatre Royal.
Alasdair was chosen to play 'Tiny Tim' opposite Steele's
'Ebenezer Scrooge' after a challenging audition process earlier
this term. As well as a number of lines to speak, Alasdair
also sings a solo.
All the children taking part in the production belong to theatre
group, Plym Kids. Alasdair has been a member for nearly 12
months and takes part in singing, acting and dancing sessions on
Saturday mornings. This is not Alasdair's first time on the
big stage - he was in the cast of Evita also at the Theatre Royal
earlier this year.
"I was really pleased to get the part of Tiny Tim", said
Alasdair. "I was a bit nervous to start with so I practised
my lines and song a lot and then I really enjoyed it."
