More than £100 raised for Haiti - 26/1/10
Published: 26 January, 2010
Year 6 pupils at Plymouth College Preparatory School have raised
£107 for the Haiti earthquake appeal by holding a toy sale
(pictured right). Part of their fund-raising efforts also involved
raffling off a large toy dragon (pictured below).
In addition, two pupils in Year 3 are raising money by holding a
'Name the bear' competition. Lauren Hession and Flossie
Postle-Hacon have bought two bears, which will be given to the
winners of the competition, and have been selling tickets at break
and after school. They will announce the winners on Friday when
they will be sending the money off to help the earthquake relief
effort.
