‘Name the bear’ raises a further £200 for Haiti appeal - 29/1/10
Published: 29 January, 2010
Two Year 3 pupils from Plymouth College Preparatory School have
raised just over £200 for the victims of the Haiti earthquake with
a 'Name the bear' competition. Lauren Hession and Flossie
Postle-Hacon bought two bears and sold tickets at break and after
school.
The pink teddy was won by dinner lady, Mrs Greenway, who chose
the name Charlotte. The dog was called John, which was chosen
by Olivia Tinney from Reception class.
The money, together with £100 raised by a toy sale and raffle
last week, will go to Shelterbox to help with the earthquake relief
effort.
