Pupils ‘man the hose’ - 26/2/10

Reception classes at Plymouth College Preparatory School got a 'guided tour' of a fire engine when firemen from Greenbank Fire Station visited the school. 

With the opportunity to take turns holding the hose, the children were shown round the fire engine and told all about how the firemen put a fire out. 

Meanwhile, Year 5 pupils were taking part in fire safety sessions where they were learning about alarms, prevention and how to use a fire extinguisher.
