Plymouth College Preparatory School pupil, Ceri Evans, 10, has
won the U14 intermediate duo title at the British Street Dance
Championships.
Competing against 60 pairs, Ceri and her partner, Courtney
Lendon, aged 12, won their way through six heats to lift the
champion's trophy. The girls are members of B-3 Dance Studios
in Plymouth and in November came second in the U12 intermediate duo
Welsh Street Dance Championships.
Held in Burnham-on-Sea, Somerset, the British event took place
over three days. As well as winning the duos, Ceri
came 4th in the U12 intermediate solo class and took 5th
place in the U14 newcomers' quad section.
"Courtney and I were really pleased when we won", said
Ceri. "It was quite a tiring weekend but I loved every minute
of it."
Fellow Prep pupil and reigning Welsh Street Dance Champion, Sam
Harvey, aged 7, came 4th in the U8 intermediate solo while his
brother Ben, 11, a pupil at the senior school, came 3rd in the
U16 intermediate duo category. Sam and Ben both dance with
Rhythm City.
