Year One ‘Rockpool Ramble’ at Wembury

It was a misty morning when the Year One classes arrived at Wembury beach.  However, as they began their 'Rockpool Ramble', the sun began to shine. 

The children spent a very productive morning finding most of the creatures that they had been learning about in their science lessons.  They enjoyed seeing the plants and animals in their natural habitat. 

After a picnic lunch they explored the beach, looking at pebbles and shells and making beach sculptures.  When it was time to go, soggy Wellington boots were removed and everyone headed back to school.
