Roman Centurion visits Prep School

Year 3 pupils at Plymouth College Preparatory School have spent a day in the life of a Roman soldier. 

The all-day workshop run by a 'Roman Centurion' saw them dressed in traditional costumes.  They got the chance to have a close look at weapons and armour as well as more day to day items like plates and bowls.

The children then spent some time making a shield each before donning helmets and going into battle against the teachers!
