African gold medals for elite swimmer - 2/1/09

Swimming scholar, Achieng Ajulu-Bushell, 14, has won two gold medals at the Africa Senior Swimming Championships, held in Johannesburg, South Africa.

 

Representing Kenya, Achieng won the 50m breaststroke, setting a new championship record for the event.  A few days earlier she won gold in the 100m breaststroke and bronze in the 100m freestyle.
