Centuries for 1st X1 and U13 cricketers - 23/6/09

Tom Watkin’s third century this season helped Plymouth College 1^st X1 beat West Buckland School by 81 runs.  After putting on 35 in 6 overs with Tom Passmore, Watkins shared a partnership of 180 with Jake Libby.  Plymouth College finished 265-6 off 35 overs.

 

West Buckland started confidently putting on 51 very quickly.  But wickets started to tumble and despite a spirited performance from West Buckland’s Bentley, Plymouth College won by 81 runs.

 

Tom Watkins wasn’t the only Plymouth College cricketer to score a century that day - U13 captain and Devon player, David Ackford, scored 112 in his match against West Buckland.  Both cricketers are also Yelverton Bohemian players.
