GB fencer and Plymouth College Modern Pentathlon scholar,
Georgina Barrington, 16, has walked away with a bronze medal in the
U17 British Fencing Championships.
Held in Sheffield, Georgina won all six fights in the
round-robin pool stages to qualify as one of 32 in the main
event. She went onto win three out of four fights to secure
her podium finish.
Director of Modern Pentathlon, Andy Hill, said: "This was
another great result for Georgina. She continues to go from
strength to strength and I'm delighted to see all her hard work
rewarded in this way."
