Prep pupil wins fencing tournament and tops rankings - 8/7/10

Catherine Bishop, 10, has won the Arnold Epee Leon Paul Series Tournament in Blackpool.  The win puts the talented fencer joint first in the girls U11 national rankings.

Catherine, who has been fencing for nearly three years, survived 12 fights in the pool stages of the competition before triumphing in a further 15 in the knock-out rounds to take the tournament title.
