Second Commonwealth gold for Tom - 13/10/10

Plymouth College pupil and world diver, Tom Daley, has clinched another gold medal in the Commonwealth Games.  The win was Tom's second gold in as many days, having won the 10m synchro with diving partner, Max Brick, yesterday.

Tom beat Australian Olympic Champion, Matthew Mitcham, in the closely-fought final of the individual 10m platform event.  In second place after the first two rounds, his third dive of perfect 10s put him just ahead of Mitcham.  Having saved his most difficult dive for the last round, the Australian was unable to hold his nerve and Tom won through with a margin of 29.20 points.
