Ollie ‘bounces’ his way to the Nationals

Ollie Piper, 11, has qualified for the National Schools
Trampolining final after two gruelling rounds of
competition.
The Plymouth College Preparatory School pupil made it to the
final after finishing second in the U11 boys elite semi-final held
on the Isle of Wight, where he beat top trampolinists from all over
the South of England. The final is being held in Stourbridge
in March.
Ollie has only been trampolining for a year and is already a
very successful springboard diver, competing and medalling on all
three boards at last year's ASA National Age Group competition.
Plymouth College Preparatory School Headmaster, Chris Gatherer,
said: "Ollie has achieved great things over the past few years in a
number of sporting arenas. We are delighted to see him
achieving such tremendous success with his trampolining whilst
still setting himself high standards in other activities both
inside and outside the classroom."
Dom Elsom, Phoenix and University of Plymouth Trampoline Club
head coach, was "delighted and very proud" of his young prospect's
progress.
