Published: 16 September, 2011
Plymouth College U15s, under new captain Damon Ackerman, started
their 2011 season at home, with a resounding victory against
Kingsley School, North Devon.
Straight from the kick off College attacked and powerful running
from the forwards with Peter Sumner and Paul Hamber dominant set up
an early score. From the restart College went straight back and
Ackerman and his backs, Sashin Gurung, Paul Habib and new boy Peter
Lui-Brown combined for a second score, converted by Jon
Gerrard.
The scores continued which enabled whole sale second half
changes, giving every member of the College squad a chance.
Kingsley fought back but relentless College pressure eventually
paid off and there were more tries from Sumner, Ackerman and
Hamber.
The final move of the match, a penalty under the posts saw scrum
half Dom Mulberry scamper over for a try converted by Ackerman.
Final score: Plymouth College 76 Kingsley School 0.
