Good season for girls’ hockey - 26/11/09

The U12s have had a fantastic season so far, remaining unbeaten
after matches against Mount House, Kelly, Exeter and West Buckland.
It has been a bit more difficult for the U13s with results not
going their way but they have put in some spirited
performances.
However, the U14s are a very strong team with a committed
approach, winning the West Devon finals and coming third in
the Devon finals. They have also seen many fine wins against
Torquay Girls' Grammar School, Kelly College, Shebbear and
Kingsley. The Under 15s have developed into a good team, putting in
spirited performances. They have had some excellent matches; one to
mention was a 2-2 draw with Kelly College.
As always, the U16s are a very strong age group, winning the West
Devon finals and coming third in the Devon finals. The senior
squads (1st XI pictured above) have also represented the school
well, playing some super hockey, which many women's league teams
would be proud of. Excellent results and performances were against
West Buckland, Shebbear, Stover, Blundell's and Kelly.
