Over the last decade, Plymouth College has carved itself a reputation as being a world-leading school for performance sport whilst maintaining an environment where all pupils can feel empowered to find a life-long love of physical activity.
My daughter is very happy at PMC because she is not obliged to choose between academics and sports. At PMC she can do both at a high level.
We aim to provide an environment that creates opportunities for all – regardless of ability – and enriches the all-round educational experience of our pupils. We take the enjoyment and development of the least experienced pupil just as seriously as that of the Olympian and can boast pupils who participate in sport from club and school level all the way to the very top international competitors.
Plymouth College's impressive accolades and achievements by pupils, while still at school, include Olympic, World, European and Commonwealth champions at both junior and senior levels. If Plymouth College was a country, it would have been in the top 50 on the medal table during the London Olympics. We have had over 160 athletes represent 47 different nations in 15 different sports since the turn of the century, showcasing our track record of success and our internationally recognised performance sport culture.
