Smart brothers excel in national biathlon championships

Plymouth College pentathletes, Edward (U15) and Oliver (U13) Smart, have excelled at the British Modern Biathlon Championships in Solihull coming third and fifth place respectively in their age categories.

Following their swim in the pool, they had to compete in extremely challenging conditions (with Storm Clodagh showing its hand) in a 1600m run.  They both got under 5:20, a great achievement considering the weather.

This competition followed the Pentathlon GB Schools' Biathlon South West Championships in October where both boys came second in their age categories.

Annabel Denton competed in the U13 Girls’ national and regional events.
