Mali Competes in International Fencing Competition

Year 5 pupil, Mali Ratumaiwai, competed in the Challenge Wratislavia Tournament on Friday 22nd March. This was Mali’s first international competition, with 41 countries taking part. Mali was the youngest competitor at only nine years old, and was competing in the Under 11s category.

Mali fought hard and strong, never giving up and enjoying every minute. Taking a sportsman-like attitude, he made new friends and met old friends again. He finished in a well-deserved 64th place out of 147 fencers, a brilliant achievement!
