Silver for Seb

Congratulations to Sebastian Bennett, Year 3 fencer, who competed in the National Elite Epee Series Event 2, on Saturday 29th March. The event was held at Oundle School, Peterborough. Sebastian was fencing in the Under 10’s category. After a good performance in the poule fights he was ranked 3rd going into the direct elimination rounds.

After receiving a bye, Seb won his next elimination fight with a nail biting 10 – 9 victory. This put him through to the semi-final where he won with a commanding 10 – 5 victory. So it was on to the final where he took the silver medal.

This result has pushed Seb up to 3rd position overall in under 10’s National Elite Epee series.
