Plymouth College cricketer, Tom Dinnis, 17, has spent half term in Mumbai at an invitational elite cricket camp. Tom, who plays for Cornwall, was one of only five to be invited on the tour run in association with Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club.

The aim of the camp, held at the Indian Cricket Academy, was to introduce potential professional cricketers to the demands of top-level play with a particular emphasis on spin bowling. The training was run by India's top coaches and included the highest-scoring Indian batsman, Wasim Jaffer.

"I have learnt so much, this was a fantastic experience", said Tom. "We trained for 4-hours a day and not only have I learnt how to play spin effectively, but also what shots to use across different parts of the game. I can't wait to put things into practice.

"I loved the Indian culture and when we weren't training I was able to do some sight-seeing, including a trip to Mumbai's cricket ground, Wankhede Stadium."
