Table Tennis Championships success for Gemma

Congratulations to Gemma Kerr, Year 11, for her table tennis success over the weekend.

On Saturday, Gemma took part in the School Individual Championships Finals event in Wolverhampton. There were 40 girls in her category and it was a very high-standard entry. Gemma played excellently and reached the quarter finals where she played the top seed, after an amazing game she unfortunately lost 17-19 in the fifth set.

Following this impressive performance, on Sunday Gemma played in the Devon Closed Championships. She came 2nd in the mixed doubles and 2nd in the Girls U18’s event.

Once again, Gemma played exceptionally well against very tough opposition.
