Year 12 Plymouth College Pupil Gets Shortlisted for BBC Young Reporter of the Year

This week, Lower Sixth pupil, Josh Cann has been informed that he has been shortlisted for BBC Young Reporter of the Year 2020. This is an annual competition for budding journalists aged 11-18 to write about a current issue that is affecting the world around us. Josh chose the topic of 'Coronavirus', more specifically, how sanitising hands has had a long term effect on overall health. 

The finalists from the shortlist are due to be announced in January of next year, with the winners announced in March 2021. Winning stories will be broadcast on a range of BBC television and radio programs including BBC Breakfast, Newsbeat on Radio 1, Newsround, The One Show and across the world on BBC News online.
