Admissions Process
The Plymouth College Admissions Process
We recommend you begin your Plymouth College journey with a visit. Visiting Plymouth College will enable you to see the school first hand, meet some of our pupils and teachers and get to know us a little better. We can offer you a bespoke, personal visit on a school day or you might prefer to attend one of our Open Days.
Registration
The next step is to register your child for entry using our online Registration Form below. Please note that a non-refundable £180 Registration Fee is payable.
Once registered, our friendly admissions team will arrange the entrance assessments. Whilst we are an academically inclusive school, all applicants for the Senior School are asked to sit an assessment in English and Mathematics to help us ensure that they are able to access Plymouth College’s excellent academic curriculum. We will also seek references from your current school and ask that you meet with the Head and other senior teachers.
For those to whom it is relevant, we can also begin to explore the availability of means-tested financial assistance.
Whilst this is the typical journey, we try to make the admissions process a personal experience and we strive to tailor our process to meet the needs of different applicants, including those pupils from overseas.
Once you have received and accepted an offer of a place from the Head, our Admissions team will support you right up to and beyond the point where you join the school, assisting you with everything from uniform, travel, welcome and induction events and everything else you need to ensure a smooth and successful beginning to your Plymouth College experience.
