Safeguarding

Plymouth College is resolutely committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all our pupils. Our practices are regularly reviewed and an independent inspection in March 2023 confirmed our full compliance with all statutory requirements.

Safeguarding Information

We have comprehensive arrangements in place to safeguard and promote the welfare of every pupil, adhering to current statutory guidance. Good behaviour is actively promoted throughout the school and robust measures are implemented to prevent bullying so far as is reasonably practicable. Our commitment extends to meeting all health and safety requirements, including those relating to fire safety and the provision of first aid.

All pupils are properly supervised across the school site. We maintain admission and attendance registers as required and employ a strategic approach to risk assessment to ensure a safe learning environment for everyone. A disability access plan is in place to support accessibility for all members of our school community.

We maintain numerous policies to guarantee optimal care for all members of our school.
