The 2019 Senior School Sports Day was a huge success. There was a terrific atmosphere at Brickfields Athletics stadium with a cheering crowd and plenty of eager competitors. At lunchtime the Parents Association kindly provided a delicious BBQ and strawberries and cream, which were enjoyed under the blazing sun.
A full day of athletics provided some outstanding sporting success and exciting photo-finishes. Molly Shorey (1500m), Joshua Thomas-North (300m), Sophie Freeman (300m), Ella Patterson (discus), Holly Lane (shot), Izzy Radford (high jump) and Megan Bishop (javelin) all set new school records in their events.
Izzy Page won the Batrick cup for the best triple jump performance of the day and Joshua Thomas-North won the Sargent Cup for the best long jump performance of the day. The Junior Victor and Victrix Ludorum cups were won by Isaac Stripling and Molly Shorey. The Senior Victor and Victrix Ludorum cups were won by Sam Mills-Shute and Chloe Olford.
Palmers were victorious in the overall house standings, with Sargents in 2nd, Chaytors in 3rd and Dales in 4th.
