Sisters Hannah (10) and Emma (8) Fullalove, pupils at Plymouth College Preparatory School, have taken part in a sponsored walk in Saltram to raise money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. The girls have a couple of friends with type 1 diabetes and after seeing their struggle with special foods and insulin injections, they wanted to do their bit to help fund research into a cure. Instead of sponsorship money, the girls asked their school friends for donations in exchange for paper boots and have raised more than £100. “All our friends and teachers have been really supportive”, said Hannah. “Because we know people our own age who have diabetes we wanted to do something to help them. “The day of the walk was nice and sunny. It was about five miles around Saltram and we really enjoyed it”.
