Pupils in Years 5 and 6 at the Prep School are learning the basics of first aid in a six week course.
Run by teacher, Mrs Butcher, the children are learning how to do CPR and how to put people in the recovery position among other things.
Mrs Butcher has herself undertaken life-saving and mountain and outdoor first aid training. Assessment for the children is currently internal but some of the Year 6 pupils will be put through their paces later this year by the school nurse.
