The children in Year 1 at Plymouth College Preparatory School have been learning their addresses and post codes as part of their “Where I Live” topic.
They posted first and second class letters to find out which would arrive first and they were also able to visit the sorting office at Plymstock to frank and post their own letters.
The children were fascinated by the sorting area especially the IMP machine which sorted the letters and sent them at great speed along a conveyor belt.
