
More than 100 pupils got to grips with probability, puzzles and the Big Bang Theory when Dr Simon Singh MBE visited Plymouth College the at the end of April.
Dr Singh is an author, journalist and TV producer who is renowned in the worlds of mathematics and physics. His work has been awarded a BAFTA and nominated for an Emmy. The pupils reported that they found his talk ‘very interesting’, ‘useful’, ‘mind-boggling’, ‘humorous’, ‘excellent’, ‘entertaining’ and ‘eye-opening’.
Dr Singh’s niece, Grace, is a Lower Sixth pupil at Plymouth College and helped to organise the lecture.
