
Alex Pillage, James Murphy and Myles Pillage (right) scored 8808 points, beating Kelly College into second place, to win the Year 7 Boys' title in the South West Biathlon Championships. With 3176 points, Myles was crowned the individual champion after coming top in both the swim and the run.
The boys are now waiting for confirmation that they have qualified for the British Championships in March. The top eight teams from the UK go forward to the national event and with ten out of twelve regional events now complete, Plymouth College is currently ranked first in the country. Myles also has the top spot nationally and has a 72 point advantage over the current second-placed athlete.
In the Year 10 Girls' category, Alice Rogers came 3rd with 2002 points and is currently ranked 7th nationally.
