The Plymouth College U15 rugby team have retained their Devon Cup title after beating Exeter School 15-5 at Teignmouth.
Plymouth started the stronger side scoring two opening tries through Joe Martin and Billy Patching. Despite the score Exeter were looking dangerous throughout, running the ball from any position. A prolonged period of pressure saw them score a try.
After the break both sides continued to play expansive rugby until Plymouth Captain, Tom Mumford, burrowed over to finally give his team a bit of breathing space. As the light dimmed both teams put everything in to breaking through defences one final time but to no avail.
The Devon win concludes a fantastic season for the Plymouth team who have won all but one game, scoring 606 points and only conceding 59.
