Plymouth College fencer, Tim Andrews, 13, has won the U13 England Epee Championships.
Held in Hatfield, Tim beat nearly 60 competitors in a series of knock-out rounds to take the champion's title. The win has secured his selection to the England team in an U15 tournament in Poland early next year.
"Tim has had a fantastic season with silver at the British Championships and topping the UK rankings in his age group", said Director of Modern Pentathlon, Andy Hill. "He was the favourite going into this tournament, which put him under a lot of pressure, and so I am really pleased that he kept his nerve and performed so strongly."
