Plymouth College's U15 girls' squash team have taken the runners up spot in the trophy competition of the National Schools Squash Championships in Manchester.
Olivia McGonigle, Nadia Khalil, Mae Dartnell, Hettie Burrows and Bethany Gare had a resounding victory in the semi-final beating RGS Newcastle 4-1. Unfortunately, Kennilworth School proved too strong an opponent in the final, which saw the Plymouth College team lose 5-0. The girls qualified for the national event after a series of South West area knockout rounds earlier this year.
Plymouth College squash coach, Kevin Hall, said: "The girls played really well and I am delighted that they made it to the trophy final of one of the top school squash competitions of the year".
