
Plymouth College 1st XI enjoyed a very successful day at Sherborne School in the group stages of the National T20 competition.
In the first of three matches, Plymouth defeated Canford School, with captain, Alex Hill, taking 5-10 from his 4 overs. Canford were bowled out for 33.
Plymouth then defeated Sherborne School who made 156-5 in their 20 overs. Plymouth's innings was brilliantly paced with Pasi Mawalage 43 batting through except for 8 balls, George Stephenson a superb 42, Matt Kidd an explosive 22 and Hill 29 Not Out. Young Callum Cload finished the match off with 2 balls to spare. Plymouth College were 161-3 and won by 7 wickets.
In the final match against Bryanston, Plymouth scored 129 with Pasi Mawalage scoring another outstanding 60. The Plymouth bowlers all chipped in, Henry Bennett taking another 3 wickets and together with excellent fielding, bowled Bryanston out for 84.
The team will now play Millfield School 1st XI on Saturday 21st May at Millfield.
