Hot on the heels of her double British fencing titles, Plymouth College Modern Pentathlon scholar, Tia Simms-Lymn, 12, has won the Warwick U13 Epée Championships. The competition is the biggest fencing event in the UK outside the British Championships.
The talented multi-eventer also picked up a gold medal in the Devon Athletics Championships, where she set a new PB of 1.51.95 in the 600m. A week later she claimed a bronze medal at the Devon Schools combined event.
Starting with the British Fencing Championships, Tia competed four weekends in a row, securing a total of four gold medals and one bronze medal.
