As part of their history studies about the Victorians, Year 5 paid a visit to Lanhydrock House in Cornwall. The children were divided into groups and got to dress up in a range of Victorian costumes.
One group learned about being a servant in Victorian times and looked at the vast kitchens while another experienced being a child by exploring the nursery and playing with some of the toys. The children found out all about the family who lived at Lanhydrock, the Agar-Robarts, and were fascinated to hear about the lavish lives they led.
The children also got to spend time in the gardens picking up conkers!
