Year 2 pupils at Plymouth College Preparatory School had a very exciting trip to Greenbank Fire Station earlier this week.
They started with a tour of the station, followed by a talk about how to stay safe and what to do in an emergency.
The firemen showed the children the equipment on the fire engine, let them sit inside the cab and try on uniform. Everyone then went outside and all the children had a go at squirting the hose. Some of the class got a bit wet!
Head of Infants, Sally Raymond-Jones, said: "The children had a fantastic morning and were still very excited when they got back to school. They will now be writing stories and drawing pictures about the visit.
"The firemen were brilliant and I can't thank them enough for making it such a fun and informative visit."
