
Years 3 and 4 pupils at Plymouth College Preparatory School made a big splash in the pool at the Senior School earlier this week in their annual House swimming gala.
The event included a range of races, encompassing all abilities, so that everyone could take part. Exceptional performances came from Wantage's medley relay team, Abagael Black, Nicholas Sawyer, Alice Tustain and Evie Gerson, who won (4 x 25m back, breast, free, free) in a record-breaking time of 1.45.81 - the previous record stood at 2.01.50 - and Sellon's freestyle team, Tom Davis, Arpitha Abrahams, Joe Taylor and Oliver Smith, who swam (4 x 25m freestyle) in 1.36.61. The previous record was 1.55.47
The final points were Downton and Pusey 60, Wantage 69 and Sellon 82.
